With Father’s Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to test your cocktail-making skills or look out for new offerings and find a drink that dad can enjoy with the family or by himself.

If you like your drink with a wholesome meal over lunch or supper or prefer a cocktail to enjoy on its own, there’s a drink to quench dad's thirst.

This selection of drinks should make the cold days and nights just a little more bearable this winter.

Espresso Martini

3 parts espresso dessert wine1 espresso (cold)1 part vodkaMix the ingredients in a cocktail shaker, give it a good shake and then drain.Garnish with coffee beans and enjoy.

Espresso Martini: Picture Candice Chaplin  Buchu infused Gin

60ml Wilderer Fynbos Gin (or any other Fynbos infused gin)150ml tonic water150ml Buchulife Sparkling Herbal Water (lime variant)1 tablespoon fresh lime juiceA slice or two of fresh lime for garnishA sprig of fresh Buchu (optional)Place a glass in the freezer for approximately 10 mins to chill.Place a few ice cubes in the chilled glass. Add the Wilderer Fynbos Gin. Add tonic water.Add Buchulife Sparkling Herbal Water (Lime). Add lime juice. Add slices of lime and sprigs of Buchu for garnish.Serve immediately and enjoy.It’s that easy and since the Buchulife Herbal Water is sugar-free and sweetener-free, there is no need to call it a guilty pleasure.

Hot Tully

30ml Tullamore D.E.W.15ml simple syrup15ml part fresh lemon juice3 parts hot waterFirst warm a mug with hot water. Discard the water, and combine ingredients above.Stir before serving.Add some fresh ginger for a bit of a bite, or infuse the simple syrup with some fun flavours like cinnamon and orange, or apple and ginger.
