The trend of cannabis in restaurants is slowly growing. 

Cannabis-infused food and drinks have been on the rise recently with people trying different varieties and new inventions. 

Here are some local restaurants that offer cannabis-infused dishes:

Blowfish restaurant

Blowfish restaurant is a Cape Town-based restaurant that launched the country's first cannabis oil sushi roll, the CANNAfornia Roll and the CANNAfornia poké bowl. The prices of the rolls range from R65 to R75.

Bohemian Beach Bums (Durban)

Bohemian Beach Bums, on Durban’s famous party street Florida Road offers infused milkshakes, chocolates, cookie crumbles, candy floss, chocolate brownies and cookies.

Col'Cacchio Pizza 

Col’Cacchio (Durban, Cape Town, and Gauteng)

Col’Cacchio is a popular Italian restaurant that launched the first cannabis pizza range in South Africa in collaboration with africanpure.

The CBD oil, used on their pizza, contains no THC synthetic chemicals, making it absolutely safe to enjoy.

Their gourmet dagga-inspired pizzas, the Green Goddess (R125) comes with grilled zucchini, feta, fresh basil and CBD oil spray, and the Not-So-Plain (R145) with spicy tomato base, chicken, peppadew piquante peppers, oven-roasted mushrooms, avocado dressing and CBD oil spray.

Customers are also able to add CBD oil to any other dish on the menu at a cost of R25.

420 Cafe (Joburg)

420 Cafe offers breakfasts that cost between R40 to R50, and pizzas that you can create on your own with different kinds of toppings such as chicken, mince, avocado, cheese, olives, bacon and tomatoes.

The establishment also offer cheese and chicken burgers and toasts that cost between R35 to R50.
