One of these guys will be SA's Best Bartender

Today is the finals of the South African leg of the Diageo World Class competition, where the best mixologist in the country will be crowned. 

The finals have been taking place since Monday, June 25 and will end today with the winner being announced. Taking part in the finals today are six of the best in this year's competition: Evert De Jong, Alex Fahrenheim, Jody Rahme, Bruce Dorfling, Travis Kuhn and Brent Perremore. The top six was announced at the Radisson Red Hotel at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. 

2015 champion and judge, Dom De Lorenzo says “we are extremely excited to see this come to life once again and sure the finals will bring finesse, spirits and creativity."

Challenges during the finals have included the finalists show their speed and skill, needing to make 12 original drinks in 10 minutes.

Down to the top 6  - SA’s bartenders have descended upon the mother city, Cape Town, and competed in the World Class national finals, in a bid to prove that they have the best cocktail making skills behind the bar. 

They also had to bring a focus into the drought crisis facing Cape Town, with mixologists designing drinks that would use a maximum of 25mls of water. 

Last year's competition was won by Sin + Tax owner, Julian Short.
