Autumn is officially upon us and Reyka Vodka has shared the perfect serve to celebrate.

Reyka Vodka, created in the Icelandic town of Borgarnes, unveils the Reyka Equinox Cocktail to enjoy while you gaze above the horizon.

In a translation of Jesuit Canisius’ Catechism, an equinox is detailed to have first appeared in the 16th century, while a “solstice” appeared earlier in 1250. Witnessing the moment in which the plane of Earth's equator passes through the centre of the sun, Reyka Vodka adopts the Equinox cocktail as one of the perfect serves in celebration of this occurrence.

It has a taste described as exceptionally smooth and rounded, with a soft natural sweetness and a slight hint of wild fruits.

Ingredients

2 Parts Reyka Vodka

½ Part Dolin Blanc

½ Part Lillet Blanc

2 Dashes Black Pepper Tincture

Ice cubes for shaking

Lemon twist for garnish

Method

Rinse a coupe glass with Clear Creek Pear Brandy.

Combine all ingredients with ice in a mixing pitcher. Stir.

Strain into the coupe glas.

Garnish with a lemon twist.

Enjoy and repeat

For Black Pepper Tincture — add 2 parts whole black peppercorns to 3 parts Reyka and allow to sit for 2 days. Strain and bottle.
