If your mother is into fine dining and you are still not sure where to take her, these are the places you can treat your mom this Sunday.

The Big Easy Winebar and Grill 

Spoil your mom at The Big Easy Durban with a four course set menu accompanied with the soothing sounds of entertainment and a gift on arrival. Big Easy Durban will be celebrating the month of moms with a delicious sweat treat and Methode Cap Classique. Delight in four Macaroons and four tasting glasses of bubbles at R155 per person.

Guests have a choice of the following meals; creamed crab bisque, curried corn and provolone cheese samoosa, gnu carpaccio, poached pear and mixed herb salad, baked Cajun kingklip, beef fillet medallions, black pepper and horseradish Gnocchi, honey glazed lamb rib chops, strawberry and fig pannacotta and raspberry and nougat cheesecake for only R425 per person.

The special is available from 12:00 until 14:30.

The Oyster Box

♥ High tea at the Oyster Box is entertainment for your taste buds with everything from pastries, quiches and cakes to finger sandwiches and savouries.

Make the most of the beautiful weather this Mother’s Day with lunch on the Ocean Terrace with music and amazing views.

Ocean Terrace will be offering plated starter, dessert and a dazzling buffet main course for a price of R750 per person and R450 per child 12 and under.

For starters guests will be treated with baked prawns, spinach and shellfish cream, sweet potato bruschetta and pesto tossed rocket.

For the main course buffet there will be an Indian station and carvery. Guests at the Indian station will be served with Pilaf rice, butter chicken, fish curry, potato and pea curry, Durban vegetable Breyani and braised mixed lentil dhal and at the carvery guests can indulge in rolled roast lamb with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish jus, tandoori roasted chicken, tamarind gravy, broccoli with hazelnut butter, brussel sprouts with crispy bacon, carrots with cinnamon and sugar butter, roasted mixed potato, mussels in a chardonnay cream and rolled pork with apple jus to mention a few.

For plated desserts there will be crème brûlée tart, Amarula scented, sugar glaze, and raspberry sorbet.

For the kiddies buffet there will be a hotdog station with accompaniments, pizza slice station, waffle and pancake station and an ice cream trolley with bubble-gum and chocolate ice cream.

Vasco’s Restaurant

Prawns from the tandaroo oven- Vascos

Vasco’s Restaurant will also be hosting a buffet Sunday this Mother’s Day with a variety of food to tantilise every palette for R450 per person and children under 12 are half price and children under 5 are free.

There will be a salad valley where guests will have an opportunity to build their own salad. 

For starters there will be options from freshly baked pulled lamb Turkish pizza, smoked trout and leek roulade, curried butternut spring rolls, Thai chicken cashew salad and more.

For the main course there will be options from lentil basmati rice, crumbed chicken fillet with three cheese sauce, grilled line fish on baby spinach and saffron lemon sauce and more.

There will also be a pasta station, a carvery station and tandaroo oven.

For dessert there will be options from baked vanilla and lemon cheesecake, red velvet cupcakes, carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, orange infused custard and more. 

The special is available from 13:30 until 16:30.

9th Avenue Bistro

Gin Cured Salmon- 9th Avenue

9th Avenue Bistro will also be open this Sunday for lunch to celebrate the mums. This restaurant will be having a three course menu and ending the meal with Belgian chocolate petit fours.

Guests have a choice of the following meals; roasted butternut squash ravioli, gin cured salmon, duck liver parfait, crispy fried calamari, gorgonzola, pear and candied pecan nut salad, braised beef shortrib, crispy roasted free-range duck, baby lango tail squid ink linguine, lamb shoulder, artichoke and truffle risotto, vanilla pavlova, strawberry panna cotta and chocolate torte.

The cost price is R350 per person.

The restaurant will be open from 12:00 and the kitchen will close at 14:30 for last orders.
