GREY skies, rainfall, scarves, boots and heaters? Yes, winter is here and we’re all geared up for the season.

Cape Town is home to some of the best restaurants in the country and many have already rolled out their winter menus.

The next time you have cabin fever, or just not in the mood for cooking, there’s a winter dish for every palate at each of these restaurants.

Shinny Beach, V&A Waterfront

The beach is perhaps the last place you’d think of visiting during winter, but the floor to ceiling glass doors at Shimmy Beach restaurant will keep out the cold, while guests still get to enjoy uninterrupted views of the private beach and the ocean.

The recently launched winter menu offers a variety of homegrown favourites in fine dining style.
