Situated just steps from the white sand of Muizenberg beach, the revamped Live Bait Surfers Corner has re-opened with an expanded menu of family-friendly seafood fare and décor that celebrates its enviable seaside setting.
The new décor brings a breath of fresh seaside air to space with vintage photographs of Muizenberg and suspended wooden fishing boats - a tribute to the local ‘trek-net’ fishermen of False Bay. The new kid's area has bean-bags and a large chalkboard-wall for doodling.
“ It’s a conscious step away from being an upmarket seafood restaurant and about making Live Bait a place where people can come in straight off the beach, with their surfboard and sandy feet to enjoy a good meal with family and friends".
- Kobus Truter, Interior Designer for Harbour House Group.
Not forgetting the food - the revamped menu offers a greater variety of seafood including a daily choice of 3 to 4 different linefish, a dedicated sushi counter, a trio of Cape Maly-inspired curries, soup of the day and a new kids menu.
Head chef Ryan Daniels is also a passionate supporter of the South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative (SASSI), and all line fish sold in the restaurant is ‘green-listed’ as sustainable.
Live Bait Surfers Corner is located at 70 Beach Road, Muizenberg.
