It’s hard to resist the gelato at Crumbs & Cream, it’s even more difficult to say no to the ice cream sandwiches.
It’s part of the new treats and a sweeter summer menu at their Cape Town and Johannesburg ice cream shops.
The cookies wedged between the ice cream is salty and really balances out the sweetness of the ice cream.
There are also a few new flavours to try out this summer, Churros (made from real churros);
Kinder Bueno; chocolate peanut butter and pineapple sorbet (vegan).
The cookie dough cookies also worth a try and the peanut butter cookies will be a hit with the kids.
There might be a minority of people who would walk into an ice cream store and not want ice cream.
So if your kids have dragged you into a Crumbs & Cream and you still want to nibble on something then try the new cinnamon roll. It’s a freshly baked cinnamon roll served with ice cream (and sauce and whipped cream).

The roll is also a great way to balance out your snack if you don’t want to only have ice cream or if you’re not in the mood for a very sweet treat.
It’s tough to choose from the colourful range of ice cream flavours once you step into a store.
