KwaZulu-Natal brand, BB Bakeries has launched a first of its kind food truck to spice up the foodie scene and its called the #SomeBunnyToLove BB Bunny Chow Food Truck.

The campaign was launched this weekend at the Shongweni Farmers Market and will be travelling around KZN food markets and lifestyle festivals until the end of October.

BB Bakeries Senior Brand Manager Trisha Chetty says the campaign was sparked by BB Bakeries wanting to celebrate all things ‘Born ‘n Bread in KZN’- just like the beloved bread brand itself.

"Because she choose to see the world in bright ,bold colours the world seemed brighter even in her darkest days." Over the last few weeks I have been soul searching and looking at my life. For all of my life I am grateful for the lessons and blessings that have crossed my path.I have started to look beyond the cloudy, dark days and see the rainbows do exist. I captured this very loud and colourful #BunnyChowTruck this weekend at #ShongweniMarket .The truck is decked out colours and designs that are very vibrant of the Durban Indian and African communities.Circles used in the remind me of clocks and cycles of life how is constantly changing and nothing lasts forever. The bright colours indicate positivity ,happiness and fun like a carnival. Each day I am learning to be positive about life and find one thing to be grateful for everyday. Lessons for today : 1. Be Happy. 2.Be grateful. 3.Be positive. 4.Think good thoughts. 5.Don't be distracted by someone else's cloudy skies. “BB Bakeries created the #SomeBunnyToLove food truck to celebrate and share an authentically KZN food experience with the families of KZN. We believe that a meal is nothing without some family-fun connection and entertainment, and this allowed us the opportunity to portray the versatility of our products in a relate-able and fun execution,” she says.

To match their ‘Born ‘n Bread’ loaf, BB Bakeries have partnered with ‘Born‘ n Bread’ Durban curry expert, Anasia Govender who is also known as Annalakshmi from Chilli Kadhai.

Chetty says they are delighted to be working with a passionate champion of the Bunny Chow.

“Govender shares our belief that the best quality products and an artisan attention to process and detail is what makes the best food experiences. Of course, we both also believe that a meal is nothing without some family-fun connection and entertainment” explains Chetty.

Govender says the BB Bunnies come served with Paneer-stuffed bread balls as well as the traditional carrot salad.

“This is our innovative use of the crustless portion of the loaf that is left over. Fans can select from three popular curries, chicken, mutton or bean, or can opt for a smaller serving of deliciousness with the BB Mini Trio made from BB Squares.” he says.
