Planning the perfect Mother’s Day brunch can take a lot of time and effort but it’s all worth it at the end.
If you don’t know where to start, we have asked Culinary Artist at Granny Mouse Country House & Spa, Theo Mannie to share with us some simple tips for planning the perfect Mother’s Day brunch.
Below are Mannie’s tips
Decide between indoor or outdoor (picnic or plated) – this will be weather and wind dependent. Pick a theme and work around this for the décor and table setting.
A combination of light, hot and cold dishes, preferably 2 or 3. Keep it simple. Overcomplicated dishes means more stress and less time to enjoy.
Tea and coffee is a must, along with fresh juice or iced tea. You may also want to add in a cocktail or champagne or mimosa to add a touch of sophistication.
Set the mood with some easy listening music, preferably our Mother’s favourites. Music helps tie everything together.
Share food, share stories. Take pictures and create happy memories. A happy family is the greatest gift a mother could ask for.
