CAPE TOWN – The Covid-19 pandemic is creating an information overload, so we've decided to make things easier for you.

Here are five stories you might have missed today:

1) With the current level 4 lockdown enabling some sectors to return to work, experts say they shouldn't go back to 'normal', but should use this opportunity to reboot, and implement sustainable social, economic and environmental practices.

2) The eThekwini Municipality who was flagged as the Covid-19 hotspot for KwaZulu Natal is preparing for the worst and has submitted a report by the parks, recreation and culture unit, to use the Durban Ice Arena as a mortuary.

3) A young couple from Durban who recently gave birth to their first child during the Covid-19 pandemic said the experience was scary at first, but the professionalism displayed by doctors and nurses eased them through it.

South Africa has adopted a level 4 risk-adjusted lockdown since May 1 which opened up the agriculture, forestry and fishing sectors, takeaways for delivery and the possible reopening of schools.

While many South Africans have shared their concerns about the risk that level 4 will bring, others are looking for a bit more freedom and something to do safely outside of the house.

5) The Bundesliga will be the first European major league to return to the pitch after Germany’s chancellor Angela Merkel gave government approval for the restart of the football league.
