CAPE TOWN - The Seabord CAN has been working in various ways to provide food and nutrition to those struggling during these trying times with the organisation now helping turn front yards into food gardens as another mean to provide food to those in need.
Through many individual initiatives, the CAN group has managed to address varying issues brought upon those less fortunate during the pandemic with fundraising, arranging and organising shelters during the cold winter months and even supplying stationery to kids in need.
A partnership between the Gugulethu, Seaboard CAN group and Vuyani Qamata saw a recent initiative aiming to provide and support sustainable fresh produce farming withing Gugulethu bringing the community together to produce much-needed food and nutrition from their very own backyards.
The CAN organisation asks for all donations at any amount.
