A cocktail party is not necessarily a turn up, but rather a social event to network. ManLee's recently hosted a cocktail soiree at Bafana Motlatjo Lodge in Bronkhornspruit. The elegant event was a good networking platform in preparation for the 4th annual Shorts and Shades picnic. When dressing up for any cocktail party, there are certain factors you need to consider before selecting your outfit.

- Look out for the theme

For any given event, take note of the theme and keep it within. You don't want to be left out looking like a gatecrasher

-Wear comfortable clothes

Whatever you decide you wear, make sure it's comfortable enough. The last thing you want is feeling uneasy because of the bad selection of clothes you chose to wear.

-Keep it simple

Don't be over the top, it's not a fashion show. If you don't feel like a cocktail dress, a jean with nice heels will do. As long as you feel good in it.

-Don't wear too much make-up

You'll probably spend most of the time talking to people. A simple makeup would be nice, less is more.

-Wear confidence and sm ile

You can rock the hottest outfit but if you're not confident enough with it and it don’t have a smile, then it's not so hot! Be you, be happy, smile and have fun.

Shorts and Shades picnic will take place at Motlatso Lodge on December  26 , for more information, visit MLPevents
