The British accent has been named the sexiest in the world.
Well, the sexiest for men. According to American women. Is it any wonder Meghan Markle fell for Prince Harry?
According to a survey carried about by MissTravel.com, American women find British and Scottish accents sexiest.
Of the 1,423 women surveyed, 20 percent said they found a British accent sexiest, followed by 18 percent who prefer the Scottish lilt.
However we’ve contacted MissTravel to clarify what this means, because obviously Scotland is part of Great Britain.
And there’s also the fact that there’s a huge and diverse range of British accents, from West Country and Welsh to Scouse and Glaswegian.
Unfortunately for British women, however, they didn’t rank so highly in the eyes of American men.
According to the study of 1,164 American men, Israeli accents are most likely to set pulses racing (19 percent), followed by Colombian (18 percent).
