Johannesburg - They say it’s third time lucky.
Pastor Ray McCauley might be hoping for luck this time when he ties the knot again.
The twice-divorced founder of the popular Rhema Bible Church will walk the aisle for the third time very soon when he marries his former wife Zelda.
When the former model and McCauley got married in 2001, she had been divorced twice already.
The pair’s marriage later ran into trouble in 2008, but they sought counselling and reconciled.
At the time, McCauley attributed their marital difficulties to fatigue and spiritual warfare, but said their relationship had come through “better than ever”.
Despite these efforts to save it, their marriage was said to have “irretrievably broken down” and they divorced the following year.
On September 29, the church announced that the couple had reconciled.
On Thursday, church spokesman Giet Khosa confirmed this.
He said their reconciliation had been a two-and-half-year process.
When the two tied the knot back in 2001, decorations were by avant garde interior designer Dorothy Van't Riet and Zelda was wearing a Marianne Fassler creation.
This time, however, it is going to be different.
Khosa said the wedding would be a modest affair with only close friends and family. - The Star
