It’s been billed as the celebrity wedding of the year, and fashion bible Vogue dedicated their April cover to the event, but according to the bride, they want to keep things private.

Despite all the evidence to the contrary, Kim Kardashian insists her wedding with Kanye West will be a private affair, and the “I do’s” will not be televised. Although, as Kim’s explaination reveals, privacy means different things to different people.

“We are not filming our wedding for Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” the reality star told her fans.

“You will see everything leading up til and after! (sic)

“Privacy is our main priority.”

That said, Kim was at pains to clear up any misconceptions surrounding her big day, especially those regarding the guest list.

“No guest list has been released,” she wrote. “Seeing fakes ones. Especially not 1600 people invited like I just read. It's VERY small & intimate.”

According to Us Weekly, gold wedding invitations were sent out on April 18 to 120 people. Among the specially selected guests were Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and tennis star Serena Williams.

The publication alleges that guests were expected to arrive on May 23, the day before the wedding. They will be checked into the exclusive Hotel George V off the Champs-Élysées, where suites cost at least $2012 a night.
