When news of an exclusive sex island made headlines, it almost broke the internet.

It was first publicised last year, much to the disgust of the Colombian government. Then organisers moved the event to a "drug friendly" Caribbean island.

Now the debaucherous four-day event is due to take place in December, and promises unlimited drugs and orgies. But it's going to cost sex tourists £4 600 (about R85 000), according to The Sun.

The British tabloid spoke exclusively to one party guest who attended last year's event. * Ryan, a 33-year-old from New York, revealed how the orgies began just minutes after guests boarded a luxury yacht taking them and 60 prostitutes to a private island.

“Each man had to choose the two girls who would keep them company during the entire trip."

He also told how drugs and sexual stimulants were freely available and how every man was allowed an hour with 15 girls all at once.

Ryan told his wife he was going on a work trip, and instead headed to the party island with 30 other guests. He said: “I read a story about Sex Island in a New York newspaper and said, ‘wow, I need to do that’.

“After I paid the money they sent me a golden ticket with my name on it,” he told The Sun.

According to him, the guest list included mostly men and one couple. There was also a "very famous Canadian pop star" present, which prompted Canadian news outlets to speculate who it was.
