London - Forget advice from so-called sexperts - the secret to making men better lovers may be to tickle their feet.

Scientists have found that stimulating the ankle with a mild electric current can help banish premature ejaculation.

A trial of “tibial nerve stimulation” on 30 men with the condition found it increased the duration of their love-making.

The idea is the current passes up the tibial nerve to other nerves in the pelvis that control muscles used for sex.

Over time, this “retrains” the muscles so they do not go into frequent spasm.

The results of the study, by Yuksek Ihtisas Hospital in Turkey, are published in European Urology.
