QUEEN of Talk Oprah Winfrey sent actress Mindy Kaling a hand-carved bookcase, fashioned to look like a dollhouse, with hundreds of classic children’s books inside for her baby girl.

While Beyonce and Jay-Z gifted Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby Chicago a R370 000 diamond-encrusted Lorraine Schwartz bracelet at the announcement of her birth.

The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, a trendsetter in more ways than one, was the first royal to have a baby shower (with goodie bags from Jo Malone and the White Company). She also received a “push present” from hubby Prince William in the form a stunning citrine ring, which she debuted at Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

The announcement that another royal baby was on the way made international headlines. And while we love the toy kangaroo, with joey, and Ugg boots, we have a few ideas of our own.

An actual kangaroo

With all the travel Harry and Meghan get up to just imagine the “pets” they could collect. Suspend the animal rights activist thoughts that come to mind and consider for a moment, a rare Rhino from Africa or a whale shark from China. The kid could have his or her own zoo or aquarium in time for an animal-themed first birthday party.

2. Books are amazing, so are doll houses. How about a castle?

A custom-made mini castle for tiny tots must already exist on royal grounds. This is so doable it’s probably already been done, but don’t you love the idea.

3. Diamonds encrusted pacifiers

Jewels are very royal but most of what we hear of are heirloom pieces, passed on from one direction to the next. In 2018 it has to be bling.

4. Designer everything

Designer prams, high chairs, blankies, booties, toys and rompers are par for the course when you’re as wealthy as a Windsor. How about a designer robot?

5. Anything with wheel?

All parents with tell you that children from a very early age have an obsession with wheels. These can be things that turn/ spin/ roll or literal vehicles with wheels. This baby however; doesn’t need to keep his feet on the ground. He should have a pilots license when most kids get their drivers so an air balloon before that jet makes absolute sense.
