Do you skip breakfast because you’re always in a rush? As tempting as it is to hit that snooze button for an extra 5 minutes, you’re missing out on the opportunity to fuel your body with the energy you will need to tackle the day. So if you’re terminally lazy, you will love Flora’s tasty recipes for healthy breakfast snacks.  You can make these on the weekend and eat whenever you’re ready, they’ll stay fresh for the week or even longer.

Recipe 1 –

Everyone loves a rusk, but the store-bought versions are expensive and full of sugar. We love this recipe because it’s quite easy to make and yields 60 rusks. One batch will last you a month or longer if you eat 2 or more in a day. It’s crammed with seeds that are full of omegas and you can switch out the wheat flour with the exact measurement of gluten-free flour for an even healthier snack.

Recipe 2 –

What could be easier than packing a small Tupperware of granola with a portion of yoghurt in the morning? We love this recipe because you can personalise the cereal based on the kinds of fruits, seeds and nuts you like. Don’t like sultanas? Why not try it with dried cranberries instead? Make this one on the weekend so that you can just grab and go when Monday hits.

Recipe 3 –

This is another one you can make while you’re avoiding the Carte Blanche theme music on a Sunday night. We love this recipe because it uses bananas instead of eggs so it’s super-tasty and suitable for people with egg allergies. The chopped dates give the muffins a delicious treacly taste without adding extra processed sugar.
