This special evening forms part of the Women360 extravaganza and will showcase some of KwaZulu Natal’s top fashion designers as they vie for the honour to dress this year’s Miss South Africa during her reign.

Judging the fashion show and selecting the winner are current Miss South Africa, Dr Adè van Heerden and acclaimed pageant coach and creative director Werner Wessels.

The regional Miss South Africa selection process is to be held throughout the country between February and April 2018 at various Sun International venues.

The public is invited to come and admire the dazzling fashion creations of Zama Mathe from Zarth Designs, Karen Monk-Klijnstra, Treasure Cindi, Sadie Bosworth, Wynand Lourens, Natalie Rautenbach, Somi Ntsodi and Lorre at the opening event.

“We’re going on the road to find the next Miss South Africa who will, as her predecessors have done in the past, become a role model for young women in this country. The entrants we will see in Durban could be among the top 12 finalists at the end of the regional selection process", said Gareth Flusk, Miss South Africa executive.

The theatrical fashion exhibition is created by Joanne Katz, the executive producer of leading international fashion design channel Fashion One, and directed by Themba Makhalemele, who boasts years of experience producing African Fashion International Week.

We’ve created a unique show that will include both ramp modelling and an interactive fashion experience", Katz adds.

The event takes place at the Sibaya Casino, Sun Park in Durban from Friday, February 23, to Sunday, February 25 and at Cape Town’s Grand West Casino and Entertainment World, Sun Park from Friday, March 16, to Sunday, March 18.

It wraps up at Carnival City Sun Park in Johannesburg from Friday, April 13, to Sunday, April 15.

It is open on Friday from 4pm onwards, Saturday from 10am to 9pm and on Sunday from 10am to 6pm.
