DIESEL LAUNCHES NEW FRAGRANCE
Gap-toothed model Ashley Smith is the face of Diesel’s new perfume, Loverdose, which comes in a spectacular bottle that looks like a heart with a dagger through it.
You can interpret the name as “Lover Dose” or “Love Overdose”. The Italian denim-wear brand says the fragrance is a “beautiful but deadly weapon of seduction”. It’s meant to evoke passion and feminine strength.
Developed by perfumers Honorine Blanc and Olivier Cresp, its has top notes of star anise and mandarin and bottom notes of vanilla, liquorice and dry woods. At the heart is liquorice and sambac jasmine.
We found it quite modern and fresh, neither too florally nor too musky, but the purple flacon may be more memorable to buyers.
Diesel Loverdose is available in 30ml (R449), 50ml (R599) and 75ml (R699) eau de parfum at selected Edgars, Red Square, Woolworths, Foschini, Truworths and Stuttafords stores and Diesel boutiques.
SUMMER SCENTS IN WOOLWORTHS’ ‘FRUIT’ RANGE
Woolworths has revamped its “Fruits” bath and body range to introduce new fruity fragrances for summer – Berry Crush, Peach Blush and Lime Tang.
As you would expect, all the products are gentle and safe even though they are highly fragranced. No mineral oils or petrochemical ingredients have been used, and the range has not been tested on animals.
