London - A new aftershave inspired by Vladimir Putin has gone on sale in Moscow.
Leaders number one, an Eau de Cologne which comes in a black bottle featuring the Russian president’s profile.
The brainchild of perfumer and Putin admirer Vladislav Rekunov, has hints of lemon, blackcurrant and fir cones.
“The composition was designed to be warm and well-rounded,’ explained Mr Rekunov. ‘It’s not an aggressive scent, it’s attractive, matter-of-fact and natural.”
Less flatteringly, some Muscovites who tried the Putin perfume complained it smelled “cheap”.
