Somizi Mhlongo adds another feather to his hat as he becomes the first man in Africa to be the face of the Black Opal makeup line.

The flamboyant star on Wednesday was named the South African brand ambassador for the American cosmetic brand which believes that beauty comes in all shades.

Taking to Instagram, the Metro FM host shared the exciting news, with this caption:

"Iconic moment. Boundaries have been broken. Ladies and gentlemen I’m honored to announce the face of @blackopalsa The first male to represent a make up brand. #blkopalxsomizi when God shows up. He shows off."

The cosmetic company confirmed the news, sharing the announcement on their Twitter page:

The 'Idols SA' judge was recently confirmed as a co-host for the 2018 South African Music Awards making this the third time in a row he takes on the hosting duties. 

He will be joined by fellow radio star Dineo Ranaka and comedian Mpho Popps in Sun City on June 2.
