Now, in her latest show of costly pampering, Lisa Snowdon appears to be going for the Egyptian pharaoh look.
She had gold leaf applied to her cheeks, nose, lips and chin in a bizarre treatment that certainly left her glowing. The TV presenter, 46, shared pictures and videos of herself on social media which showed her face coated in the pure gold, while her neck was covered in silver leaf.
The model and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant, who dated George Clooney for five years, is known for trying unorthodox treatments.
In May she posted pictures of herself having cosmetic acupuncture, which is touted as a natural alternative to Botox.
The 24-carat treatment, which costs £160 (R3,000) for a 50ml bottle, is said to exfoliate the skin, while the gold particles provide a lifting effect by improving the flow of blood to the tissues, which helps to restore elasticity.
Miss Snowdon was treated by Russian doctor Thiago Freire, who specialises in anti-ageing medicine. Posting the images to her 196,000 followers, she wrote: ‘Had the most luxurious golden skin renewal facial yesterday... I was literally wrapped in pure 24K gold leaf, (I know completely decadent) which was applied in three stages.
