Why is it that when the temperature drops, everyone everywhere starts exclusively wearing dark colors? We’re not suggesting you wear head-to-toe neon, injecting your winter wardrobe with some vibrant shades will brighten your day and those around you. Brighten up with one of these three hit colours that were autumn/winter 2016/17 trend on the runways.

Mustard Yellow
A cloudy take on the traditionally in-your-face color, mustard yellow is winter's answer to summer's sunny shades. Try a chunky knit with dark denim or a tiered dress and ankle boots.

Rust Brown
Somewhere between brown and orange, rust is equal parts elegant and cool. It's dark enough to be easy on the eyes yet bright to make a statement. It's best when rendered in fluid silhouettes. Pair this with any colour hue in the same family for a head-turning effect.

Forest Green
A rich alternative to the obvious festive red, a robust green shade reads timeless sophistication. Trade your black coat for a pine-colored version or tuck a romantic top into gray slacks.
