The countdown to warm weather is officially here and we can finally embrace upbeat summer fashion trends. Studio.W Summer ’17 promises a range of confident, edgy, inspiring and effortless urban looks, catering for both work and play.

The Summer’17 collection showcases a range of sophisticated pieces, appealing to the confident South African woman, who appreciates trends without being confined by the boundaries of mainstream fashion. “The combination of femininity and leisure is what makes the latest Studio.W collection relevant and wearable – urban fashion made easy,” explains Philippa.
A relaxed sport aesthetic is evident in key pieces throughout the collection, featuring zip detailing, sporty rib trims and active-wear additions, speaking to the seasonal theme of ‘athleisure’. Simultaneously, themes of femininity and architecture are also explored in a sophisticated and uncluttered way.

Asymmetric patterns are threaded throughout dresses, tops and skirts, coupled with poplin fabric and sequin finishes. Strong sleeves are essential to this collection, from the classic ruffle to the more structured balloon sleeve, showcased alongside details of metallic and embroidery.

Knoblauch comments, “It’s an honour to be documenting this exciting collection, and to have the opportunity to collaborate with an iconic South African fashion label such as Studio.W.”
