Thursday night was the Chevrolet Feather Awards, an event that recognises and celebrates the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender , and intersex (LGBTI) community and iconic personalities and achievers who inspire the LGBTI community- as voted for by the LGBTI community and local media

"The awards were created as a platform for the expression of LGBTI experiences - but as the wise gays say- when in Rome, do as the Romans do. So when in entertainment, do the entertainment things; the celebrities, the fancy clothes, the fabulousness and all the works- not forgetting the mandate to create a platform from which Africa’s LGBTI people should be able to express their truths in a meaningful way”.

Our local celebrities went in at Theatre on the Track at Kyalami, Johannesburg showing off their fashion sense and here’s what they wore:

Candice Modiselle

The actress came in with a yellow boobtube dress and a fresh bob weave. She looked amazing.

Mthoko Makhathini

Well-known as Dash, the musician and TV presenter wasn't named the GQ most stylish man for nothing. He wore a smart casual yet classic grey suit with a bit of jewelry above the tie. Keep it up!

Mmabatho Montsho

TV personality, Mmabatho Montsho was wearing a black sheer dress and rocked her Afro hair. That look suited her enough.

Somizi Mhlongo

The Idols SA judge and entertainer, Somizi Mhlongo wore a black velvet suit and a white shirt with gold sheer. Keep on slaying Somgaga.

Zodwa Wabantu

Entertainer, Zodwa came out of her comfort zone and wore a long green sheer dress. Like always, she rocked her short hair and served some leg.

Boity Thulo

TV personality, Boity Thulo got the memo right this time around and slayed the red carpet in a black and pink roses boobtube dress. That's how it's done girl, well done.

Vatiswa Ndara

The award winning actress didn't give us a good impression with her outfit. If these awards were about who wore what, she would definitely win the worst dressed award with a curtain looking like dress.

Dj Tira

The Durban musician looked dapper in the bottle green pants and that silky jacket until he added that huge ribbon on the neck. It's too disturbing and provided the heat, it looks uncomfortable too.

Skolopad

The queen of red carpet once again stole the show in a wors outfit. Skolopad wore a whole wors! Nonetheless, unlike Lady Gaga who once wore beef, at least Skolopad was hygienic and covered it in plastic.
