SB Kids, a children’s clothing brand by Former Miss South Africa, Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala and her soccer star husband, Simphiwe Tshabalala recently launched a new collection at Maponya Mall, Soweto.

SB Kids is a brand made with the iconography of Siphiwe as an African Super Hero and Bokang as an African Princess- and is aimed at encouraging African kids to be the best version of themselves.

SB Kids is not selling clothes but a message of hope to the African child that they too can be great as the heroes and princesses in fairy-tale books.

"If one looks at what is offered in the toys and clothes market, all the princesses and heroes look nothing like an African child and Princess Bokang and Super Shabba is here to change this," says Bokang.

Coming from backgrounds which are deemed un-enabling, both Bokang and Simphiwe worked hard and continue to achieve their dreams and this is the narrative they want to share with African children- to teach them that they are not defined by their background and should never allow anyone to make them feel inferior because of the colour of their skin and the texture of their hair.

All swaggy in Super Shabba gear.

The new SB Kids collection tutu dresses, stylish shorts, cute leggings and smart tops are now available at Jet stores around the country since the brand has partnered with Edcon Ltd.
