Style Report: The best looks from the first weekend of Coachella 2018

This year’s Coachella music festival was attended by several South African personalities, with their Instagram stories displaying the events and performances at the music festival, including the most anticipated performance of the night by R&B Singer Beyoncé. 

Actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali Maphumulo joined hubby DJ Black Coffee, while also posting her activities for magazine Cosmopolitan. The actress chose an all-black attire for Day 1 of the festival, which she accessorized with a Gucci fanny pack, while opting for a soft pink baby-doll dress on top of a matching bikini set that was paired with black boots.

Actress, model and DJ Thuli Phongolo decided to fully immerse herself in the boho fashion-inspired look for Coachella, opting for yellow dress with cornrows.

Rihanna opted to wear her FentyxPuma on the first day with an electric blue bodysuit with cargo pants, trendy 90s inspired sunglasses and pink stilettos, before changing into a beige number for the evening celebration. The Bajan singer then wore an all-white outfit for day 2 of the event, with leather boots.

Kylie Jenner was a pink pixie with her hot pink wig and a latex jumpsuit, while best friend and plus size model Jordyn Woods opted for an yellow and black number, and older sister Kourtney Kardashian posed in an oversized t-shirt.

The talk of the weekend however, was Beyoncé and her two-hour performance on Sunday evening, in Los Angeles (early Sunday morning in South Africa) where the R&B singer had four outfit changes throughout the performance, wearing outfits that were custom-designed by designer Olivier Rousteing for French label Balmain.

The singer, who celebrated the accolade of becoming the first black female singer to headline the weekend festival with fans, also shared the stage with her former Destiny’s Child members, and her younger sister Solange, all of whom were also dressed in Balmain.
