Cosmetics brand Urban Decay has launched its All-Nighter Waterproof full-coverage concealer. Inspired by its much-loved All-Nighter make-up setting spray, the concealer promises flawless matte coverage that lasts up to 24 hours. A group of South African beauty writers and bloggers were given an opportunity to put it to the test, in London.
The brand has carved out a niche market as leaders in long wear and innovative products. We all want make-up that will last through the day and night if necessary, from work to play. The concentrated concealer claims to also cover up tattoos, dark spots and blemishes.
Invited by media agency 4Elements Media (4EM) and Urban Decay, the plan of action was that we jet off to London for a weekend. We had 24 hours to explore the city like the locals, travelling with the London underground Tube jetting from one cool eatery to the next. All while wearing our All-Nighter Waterproof full-coverage concealer.

Our trip began in a lap of luxury, courtesy of Virgin Atlantic flights, which also treated us to a visit to their Clubhouse at ORTambo Airport and London Heathrow Airport.

Hit the ground running!
We landed in London on a grey Saturday morning. It was a quick dash from the airport to the funky MOXY London Stratford hotel. After a quick freshening up session, it was time for a face beat.

My look:
My make-up look included the Urban Decay’s Quick Fix Hydra-Charged Complexion Prep Priming Spray which left my skin plump and hydrated.Next I applied the All Nighter Liquid Foundation shade 9.75 (R490). I loved its light coverage and that it blended in with my skin. The concealer comes in 14 shades and I used the Dark Warm shade (R395) under my eyes to hide the dark circles and on the bridge of my nose and forehead.I finished my look with a spritz of the Urban Decay’s Makeup Setting Spray (R450). This is the golden touch, it ensured my make-up stayed in place but it also gave off a dewy and flawless finish.

The verdict?
The concealer finish is matte and it dries quite quickly so it smooths without setting or baking. It required no touch-ups for the whole day until the early hours of the morning when I went to sleep.
For the record:
We did not stay up the whole night or sleep in our make-up as per the “all-nighter” tag-line, however, we did put our faces to the test. The concealer lasted through the underground tube rides, my sweaty dance moves at the club and all the eating and drinking. The only thing I had to reapply was my lipstick.
