The State of the National Address which was due to be delivered to today in Parliament, Cape Town has been postponed. This was announced by National Assembly Speaker, Baleka Mbete on Tuesday at a press conference.

While Mzansi will have to wait to hear their President's address, attendees get that extra bit of time to perfect their SONA — and if last year's ensembles are anything to go by, they're going to need it.

Here are the hits and misses from last year’s SONA:

HIT: Mandla  and Nosekeni Rabia Mandela

The grandson of the late Nelso Mandela, Mandla Mandela and his wife Nosekeni Rabia looked ravishing in their Xhosa attire. Rabia looked even more cute with a baby bun.

MISS:  Ntombethemba Ximbi

Miss: African National Congress member of Parliament, Dumisani Ximbi and wife Ntombethemba also arrived wearing a Xhoasa gear. Dumasina looked nice we’re just not too sure about Ntombethemba. That lace top could’ve worked better with a colourful neck piece not pearls and a name tag as an accessory.

HIT: Dudu Mathebe

African National Congress member of Parliament , Dude Mathebe looked stunning in her Pedi outfit. We love how the pink and blue blend in together, those sandals with beads are also cool. Many could learn from her.

HIT: Patricia De Lille

Mayor of Cape Town, Patricia De Lille wore a colourful maxi dress. It wasn’t over the top but it was enough to make her look good.
