The Tshwane University of Technology Department of Fashion Design held its annual fashion show, titled “Fashion Times”, on Wednesday at the trendy 012 Central in the city’s CBD .
It was quite an affair as close to 40 students showcased their glamourous and colourful collections.
Dineo sefalafala impressed with her winter white collection and Convenience Chawane mesmorised the crowd with her creative aquatic daywear collection.
And both designers' worked paid off, as they were awarded the most innovative student designer of the year and most stylish commercial student designer of the year, respectively.

Fifteen students were also chosen to showcase their garments at the Gauteng Sansui Summer Cup, which will take place on November 26 at Turffontein Racecourse.
Competing for the overall Young Designer’s Award, one of the fifteen students will be rewarded to a life-changing prize package of receiving R250 000 generously sponsored by the Gauteng Sansui Summer Cup, SIES!isabelle and BLOSS magazine.

The winner will also have an opportunity to dress a celebrity for the magazine cover, a personal brand development consultation by Veníce Kruger & Associates, and exposure on the Pretty Awesome Life and Kalala blogs.

Last year’s winner, Bayanda Khathini who won the Young Designer’s Award showcased his Range at the recently held GQ scouting menswear competition run.
