French artist and illustrator Christophe Louis, known as Quibe is renowned for his stunning minimalist portraits that use a single contour line. the creative believes in the ethos that simplicity is not simple, and his compelling illustrations epitomize exactly that.
This season his artwork has graced our collection with an exclusively designed t-shirt and scarf. we talked to the artist about the inspiration behind his work, his favourite Parisian haunts, and just what exactly makes french women so inimitably chic.

What inspires your artwork?
i won't be very original with this one books, movies, art gallery, horses, music.
Who are your artistic muses?
Matisse, Picasso, and of course Toko Shinoda. I am also growing more and more fond of sculpture.

How would you describe a Parisian's sense of style?
I'd say it has a lot to do with attitude! Parisians work very, very hard to appear effortless. don't look like
you're trying. french people are very thorough when it comes to investing in basics but at the end of the day, it’s the attitude that makes the difference.
What are some of your favourite Parisian restaurants and bars?
georges, which is located at the top of the centre pompidou. i suggest going there for the art, the view
and the tigre qui pleure (a sliced steak dish with thai spices). bistrot paul bert, is great if you want to try
french bistro food. le petit clerc, the perfect place to go before or after a visit to the Eiffel Tower.
