Last night (October 9) the who's who in the music industry flocked to the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles for the 2018 American Music Awards.

All eyes were on the red carpet eager to see what our favourite musos were wearing. There were those celebs who served unforgettable looks whether it was for right or wrong reasons. Then were celebs who wowed us while others left us wondering why they even bother to get out of bed.

Here's a breakdown of those looks:

SLAYED!

Hot mamma Cardi B

has been giving us more glam than wratched looks post-baby. We loved her in the Dolce and Gabbana floral gown.

Jennifer Lopez

rarely fails. With her toned legs always on display, she wore a shocking pink Georges Chakra flowing dress with a black belt.

American country pop singer, Kelsea Ballerini

, brightened up the red carpet in a daring black and yellow sequins Nicolas Jebran dress with a zebra-print detail.

FAILED

Taylor Swift

resembled a mirrorball in a silver Balmain bodycon mini dress and matching thigh-high boots. All she needed to do was twirl and sing and it would have been a full-on disco.

SistersHalle and Chloe Bailey

usually rock the most interesting, sometimes futuristic, looks. Sorry Valentino, but these bed sheets are an obvious disappointment.

BLAH

Camila Cabello

could have put in a bit more effort into her outfit. Sometimes simplicity works. If you're going to the store yes.

I've already forgotten what Vanessa Hudgens

wore. This pale pink dress looks like something Barbie would have worn back in the 90's.

BIZZARE

Bad Bunny

had a third eye painted on his forehead. Clearly, the extra eye didn't help him see how ridiculous he looked.

We loved singer Moriah Rose Pereira's

, known as Poppy, frilly pink dress but then she wore a black glossy mask that covered her nose and mouth. WHY? The bizarre mask gave us dominatrix vibes. Such a stark contrast to the feminine dress.
