For the same reason that a painter uses a primer, a skin primer is always recommended. A paint primer smooths out a surface and helps the paint to adhere. A make-up primer works similarly as it creates a smooth skin texture, allowing for easier make-up application and a longer-lasting finish.

By filling in wrinkles, fine lines and the appearance of pores, it creates a smooth base for your make-up. The product helps to even out skin tone and conceal flaws before applying foundation.

Primers hydrate and nourish sensitive or dry skin, and help reduce redness and inflammation. A mattifying primer will reduce oil and shine; perfect for women with oily or combination skin. Adding one more product and one more minute to create that perfect look will ensure a lasting and more refined finish.

How to use a primer:

Apply the primer after cleansing and moisturising, but before you apply your foundation and any make-up.

Use your fingertips to apply and blend thoroughly. Bare in mind that you only need a small amount.

Focus on areas where your make-up tends to move quicker.

Allow the primer to sink in before you continue.
