One of the most anticipated awards ceremonies took place on Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The annual BET (Black Entertainment Television) Awards is a celebration black excellence in sports, film and music.

With stars such as Chadwick Boseman, Rihanna and The Weeknd among those nominated while popular movies like “A Wrinkle in Time” and "Girls Trip" were also on the list of nominees, fans were not going to miss this star-studded evening.

Winners on the night included, "DAMN" by Kendrick Lamar for Album of the Year, Best Movie Award went to “Black Panther” and yes, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist Award was awarded to Beyoncé (I'm sure the beehive is buzzing today).

Before the ceremony began all eyes were on the celebs and more so what they were wearing.

There were a few artists who tried their best to keep it classy while there were those who went out of their way to shock.

Those who tried included Serayah, Erica Ash, Janelle Monae (borderline), Remy Ma and Tyra Banks.

The list of shockers include Ryan Destiny, Blac Chyna, Ashanti and Chloe x Halle (sorry girls).

Here’s a look at who wore what on red carpet.
