We've seen this trend popping up on the runway at the latest fashion weeks in New York and Paris, making it one of the biggest autumn/winter trends to look out for.

As much as the all-black-everything look isn't something new, it's the more daring colours like red, green and even pink that are in the spotlight.

Trendsetter Rihanna recently wore an all white outfit. Her look even included white eyeliner!

Worn correctly, this look can be chic and sophisticated. Head of design and creative at Witchery, Gavin Gage, talks us through this bold trend and how to wear it.

“A singular outfit colour statement was reccurring on runway this season and this is something I feel is really new, easy to wear and can work for a broad customer base. I think finding a colour that you feel comfortable and confident in is key. Style is an attitude,” said Gage.

When asked which colours, if any, one should avoid he had this to say said: “I think as long as you feel confident, you can wear any colours.”

“With a focus on the red, navy, khaki, charcoal, maroon and white colour families, outfits are styled into layered, single-hue looks and finished with complementary must-have accessories from an extended range of footwear, bags and sunglasses. Cue a leather biker jacket worn with a textured knit, draped skirt, limited-edition bucket bag and mules, all in the most vivid crimson”.
