If you’re a man who favours a classic understated black or navy sock, you’ve really put your foot in it fashion wise.
The days of playing it safe are over as the colourful statement sock steps up as the latest trend in men’s fashion.
This is according to Country Life, which says men’s socks have been elevated from humdrum to fashion must-have thanks to the influx of bright colours available.

The magazine has even published a guide advising men what their choice of sock says about them.

Mustard, for example, marks you out as a homely type with a talent for ‘witty one-liners’, while red screams ‘challenger to Casanova’.
