Tell me about your journey into becoming a speaker and mind power coach.

In 1999 I read the Mind Power book that John Kehoe wrote and this changed my life. I then went on to do John’s mind power course, which radically changed my life. I realised that I wanted to teach this and pass on the transformational information as mind power is more than just positive thinking; it is a practice, and I wanted to share this with the world.

You have had a varied career in different fields. What prompted you to make the change into this line of work?

In 1995 I discovered my passion for people development while I was working as a programme director for the Rali project, which was a rich and dynamic multicultural youth leadership programme.

What are some of the most common requests you receive from companies regarding your sessions?

The most common request is to assist in the transformation of company cultures as well as  lifting the spirit of organisations; transforming the company; as well as individual mindsets and recognising what patterning systems are in place. We want to be the catalysts in mobilising the workforce by creating a common language and positive culture within the organisations. We find that more and more organisations are realising that personal development is as important to an organisation as skills training.

What questions are you most frequently asked in your sessions?

Where do I get my energy from? What drives me?  Am I always so positive?

What motivates you?

Seeing the transformation that takes place and hearing the amazing stories and feedback I get from my sessions motivates me.

What can people attending the event expect from it?

They can expect to leave my session feeling motivated and inspired but, more importantly, knowing that we as human beings have the power to change our lives and think whatever thoughts we want to.

How do South African audiences differ from those elsewhere?

I don’t like to compare. However, as a proudly South African citizen I love and embrace the diversity of our rainbow nation. As South Africans, I find that we are able to interact and engage with each other a lot more, no matter what our colour, race, gender or religious affiliation.

What advice do you have for people looking to make major changes (privately or in terms of business and career)?

My advice is to take ACTION. Know that you have the power to make the change. Be clear and consistent,  as clarity is power.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Being on stage and knowing that I am transforming global consciousness as this is my personal mission statement and what I stand for.
