Durban – Lift announced on Thursday that the first flight on its newly launched Cape Town-Durban route will take off on November 25.

This comes after the airline launched the Johannesburg-Durban route last month.

The airline opened sales for the Cape Town-Durban route this week, officially closing the popular Golden Triangle between Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

Jonathan Ayache, co-founder and CEO of Lift, said the airline is delighted to announce this latest route addition, which connects Cape Town to Durban.

“Not only will this add much-needed capacity onto the route but will also offer passengers a real business class alternative; we call it Lift Premium,” he said.

Ayache said the airline will also be offering flexibility by allowing passengers to change and cancel flights without any fees or penalties.

“We will also have our dog-friendly flights as an option between Durban and Cape Town,” he said.

The airline said bookings for the new route opened on Thursday.

“The first flights are set to Lift-off on 25 November 2022 with two return flights per day,” it said.

The airline said passengers can look forward to complimentary snacks, coffee from Vida e Cafe, flexible flight changes with unlimited penalty-free changes, no cancellation fees, and refunds into a Lift wallet.
