Durban - eThekwini Municipality announced this week that the Phoenix Sizakala Centre would be closed from August due to renovations that would take about 18 months to complete.

The city said there would be a mobile office situated next to the building at the Phoenix Millennium Market.

Limited city-related services will be accessible.

“Enquiries, loading of electricity meter readings and hall booking services will be available to residents,” said the city.

The municipality said while no cash would be collected at the mobile office, the debit card facility would be available.

“Third party cash collection agents will also assist the city to accept payments,” it said.

The city said a supervisor would be on site to attend to any concerns or questions from the public.

“The municipality apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused,” added the city.
