Durban - Former president Jacob Zuma and King Goodwill Zwelithini are among the prominent guests attending IFP leader Mangosuthu's Buthelezi's 90th birthday celebrations in Ulundi on Monday.

The celebrations are being held at the Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi regional stadium (formerly Ulundi regional stadium) which was recently renamed to mark the milestone.
Clad in traditional gear, Buthelezi arrived at midday accompanied by amabutho which he led in song.
About 1 000 people were already at the stadium for the celebrations. More are expected to arrive.
Other dignitaries at the event include MEC and ANC provincial chairperson Sihle Zikalala, businessman Vivian Reddy and members of the Zulu and Swazi royal families.
Buthelezi sat next to the Zulu king who also came wearing Zulu traditional attire.
