Pretoria-based Lynné de Jager is not your typical beauty queen. The current Mrs South Africa is a grown-up woman with a real adventurous streak, who loves riding her husband's motorcycle.

So, when she began making plans for a goodwill tour of the Free state in aid of her official charity, the Hunger and Thirst Foundation - and to raise funds for her trip to the Mrs. World Pageant later this year - she knew from the start it would be on a bike.

BMW dealer Bavarian Motorcycles came to the party with the load of an R12-00 GS and riding gear for both De Jager and her husband, because he'll be along for the ride - as a pillion! - from Pretoria to Bloemfontein, stopping at towns on their route to hand out the care parcels.

REACHING SOUTH AFRICAN WOMEN

The mini goodwill tour is set to take place from 27-29 September, and while De Jager will be dropping off care parcels to members of disadvantaged communities, she will also be raising money for her trip to the Mrs World Pageant later this year.

The idea is that supporters sponsor her trip per kilometre to raise the needed funds for her to attend the competition.

De Jager says her vision is to reach South African women of all ages inspire them; she wants to change the perception of what being a real woman is all about.

To support De Jager on her ride SMS Mev SA to 38404 to donate R10 towards representing SA at Mrs World. All funds raised will also be shared with her official charity, The Hunger and Thirst Foundation.
