Pebble Beach, California - Any BMW enthusiast worthy of his M-striped anorak will know immediately what inspired this concept. The 3.0 CSL Hommage R is a tribute to the shark-nosed white racers that introduced BMW to North America in 1975 with a bang by winning the IMSA sports-car series at their first attempt. It even has a special helmet for the driver that projects the head-up display on to its visor, while the dashboard displays images of the track layout and braking points. No plans for production, sadly.
