Ford South Africa has announced Bluetooth connectivity for its Figo Ambiente models, resulting in the carmaker’s entire Figo range now featuring the technology.
“The Figo 1.4 Ambiente emerged as the best-selling individual model in South Africa in 2013,” said Ford Marketing Manager Gavin Golightly. “We know our customers value the ability to stay connected in their vehicles, so Ford is continuing to deliver that connectivity for them responsibly and safely,” concluded Golightly.
Ford SA also announced that later on in the year it will introduce AppLink technology locally. AppLink allows the use of voice commands to control select apps on your smartphone, and works in conjunction with Ford’s Sync media system.
As before, the Ambiente grade is offer with a choice between a 62kW/127Nm 1.4-litre petrol engine and a 51kW/160Nm 1.4-litre turbodiesel. -Star Motoring
