We doubt there is any male petrol-head who's never proclaimed that he'll sell his left testicle for a certain supercar.

It's just an expression, isn't it?

Not so if your name is Mark Parisi, the American man who has really sold his left testicle to raise funds to buy a car that's on his wish list.

Parisi announced his plans on the TV show 'The Doctors'. Basically he'll be selling it to medical researchers for a mere $35 000 (R358 000). During the two week medical ordeal, Parisi will have his real testicle replaced by an artificial one.

The man is no stranger to medical experiments and claims to have saved over $150 000 (R1.53 million) by playing guinea pig in medical experiments.

But here's the kicker.

While it's highly unlikely that any of us sane-minded car nuts would give an actual nut for a car, if we did so it would surely be some exotic supercar like a Bugatti Veyron, Aston Martin One-77 or LaFerrari.

But Parisi has given up half of his manhood for a Nissan 370Z. And yes, he does at least admit to being "cheap".
