Ever wondered what a Batmobile would look like in red? Evidently, somebody at Italian custom-car company Spadaconcept did, if these leaked photos of its new Vetture Sport Codatronca Monza are anything to go by.

The car will make its official debut at the Top Marques Monaco show in mid-April, which is where its predecessor, the Codatronca TS, was introduced in 2008.

But that was a (very expensive) GT coupé, whereas the Monza is a roadster intended primarily for track days. It's based on Chev Corvette Z06 mechanicals, with a supercharged, seven-litre V8 pushing 515kW through a six-speed manual transmission, and weighs about 1250kg - which should ensure electrifying straight-line performance.

Production, according to SpadaConcept, will be limited - which it will need to be, with pricing expected to start at €250 000 (R2.4 million) ex-factory.
