A disused airfield somewhere in Germany - In the latest issue of Porsche’s ongoing Top 5 series of videos, it features the five fastest-accelerating street-legal Porsches yet built in a knockout competition of 0-100km/h sprints.
Each car has to beat its nearest rival in a one-on-one contest down a runway - at night, lit only by flares - in order to progress to the next round. It's a visual feast of Porsche's best, seriously flat out in a stright line - and an audio feast of flat-six, V8 and V10 music. Play it loud.
There are also a few surprises in store: not all of the cars are current, not all are sports cars and two of them are hybrids. But the biggest surprise of all is that the Porsche PR guys actually made a mistake: one of the power outputs quoted is wrong.
