London, England - The only Aston Martin DB10 that will ever be offered for sale has fetched an incredible £2 434 500 (R53.83 million) at a charity auction.

The money raised will benefit Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) - a global humanitarian aid organisation that provides medical care and support to victims of armed conflict, epidemics and other disasters.

The DB10 is a unique, non-production model specially designed for the latest James Bond film, Spectre, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Aston Martin’s association with the world’s best known secret agent, beginning with the iconic DB5.

Just 10 were hand-made in the bespoke division at Aston Martin’s headquarters in Gaydon, Warwickshire, offering a glimpse of the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins.

Eight of them were modified for filming, but two were kept back as publicity cars - and it’s one of those that was made available for the charity auction, making it the only one that will ever be privately owned.
